Problem 03
The week still runs on a file
Every Friday someone exports, cleans, and copies. The business thinks this is reporting. It is unpaid operations.
What Monday looks like
A named person holds the week together. VLOOKUPs. Copy-paste. A file that only they understand.
What it costs
Hours, yes. The expensive part is lag: the pack is already old when it arrives, and the process dies if they are out.
What we do
We join the sources that file was stitching, then automate only the work that is stable enough to deserve it.
First job
Time the Monday pack. Name the steps a person still does. Replace the ones that do not need judgement.
Who feels it. COOs, ops managers, and the unofficial data person whose Friday is a CSV ritual. Also CEOs who notice reporting stops when that person is away.
These usually travel together
If this one is true, one or two of the others usually are. Start with the expensive one, not the fashionable one.
Name the expensive one first.
The assessment is a briefing, not a score. Mark what is true. We write the first job — or an honest no.
